Living Today Past Tomorrow

With data management technologies, my proposition is aimed to equip the local Atacameño population with an augmented reality system that allows them to fight against the over-extraction of lithium. The intention is to deploy a network of sensors whose aim is to produce a space in which indigenous knowledge and numeric data can collaborate in making the best decisions for their future at any given moment. The project doesn’t seek to revert the effect of lithium extraction instead it equips the Atacameños so that they can create a new narrative that they can adapt to and evolve with.
